What is an Affiliate Marketer?
As an “affiliate marketer,” your job is to sent traffic to the landing page, squeeze page or sales page of the product that you are promoting.
Wikipedia defines an affiliate marketing as:
Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.
The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as ‘retailer’ or ‘brand’), the network (that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments), the publisher (also known as ‘the affiliate’), and the customer.
Alternatively you can also sent your traffic to your own squeeze page and collect email addresses before sending traffic to the affiliate link/ sales page.
The great thing about affiliate marketing is that you do not need to sell anything.
This is great because if you are new and do not have a product you simple drive traffic to your affiliate links and get paid when someone buys through your special unique affiliate link.

Affiliate commissions can be earned per lead and per sale depending on the commission structure of the product or service you are promoting as an affiliate.
